SONOMA MOUNTAIN PRESERVATION is currently looking for someone with a financial background to join our Board of Directors as Treasurer.
Time commitment = about 10 hours/month.
Hybrid in-person/Zoom meetings are held six times a year (even months; prefer at least half in-person). Candidates will ideally be in alignment with our nonprofit organization’s mission and vision (see our website at www.sonomamountain.org).
Applicants should reside in Sonoma County. Responsibilities include managing and recording bill payments via check, EFT, or debit card; recording contributions and book sales; preparing financial statements; preparing annual sales tax returns; assisting outside CPA in federal tax prep; complying with state reporting requirements; managing insurance coverage; managing our Money Market account(s); preparing an annual budget; monthly bank reconciliations. Ability to work with Quickbooks and PayPal software preferred.
